Temples: Places of Rest and Power.
Temples, along with cities, are fundamental in Heaven and Fire. Temples are located wherever the player chooses, always on land, and have several capabilities:
Don’t confuse the main temples with those built in the city, which are small places where your entities don’t need to consume as much energy when performing the tasks you’ve assigned them.
Key Aspects of Temples.
- Temples are the only places where angels and demons (entities) can regenerate energy. If their energy reaches zero, your entity dies, meaning it leaves Earth to return to Heaven or Hell. You can find some energy spheres in your journeys, but they will give you only a fraction to be able to arrive to a temple.
- Temples are also the only places where entities can ascend in rank. Even if an entity has the capacity to ascend one, two, or three levels, it won’t do so until it rests in a temple.
- Only seven temples can be placed on the map, although seven temples can be removed and rebuilt in seven different locations. Once seven temples have been rebuilt, it will no longer be possible to construct any more.
- Temples are your enemy’s primary targets. They must first locate your temple, but once they do, they can send enemy entities to destroy it. Be very careful: if they destroy a temple, your entities within it will also be destroyed. You can, of course, also search for and destroy enemy temples.
- Keep in mind that a destroyed temple can be rebuilt, but only once. If you run out of temples, all your entities will eventually perish when their energy runs out.
- To send an entity into a temple, simply move it within the circular area. The temple will detect it, and your entity will enter the temple.
- Level 4 and higher entities can teleport from one temple to the nearest one, regardless of the distance, but only to the closest one. They will not be able to teleport again for a period of time.
- When an enemy entity is captured, it can be taken to a temple, instead of being destroyed, to obtain information about the location of other enemy entities and temples. The methods used directly influence confessions, but keep in mind that more aggressive methods can lead to false information.
- Try to place temples in areas without cities or with cities you don’t want to control. The area where the temple is located is a completely delimited zone.
In short: temples are critical and fundamental. And you can only have seven operational at the same time. Furthermore, if they are lost, they can only be rebuilt once. Therefore, one of your tasks will be to protect them, as well as strategically place them across the planet.
