Tasks outside cities

Note: work in progress .

The world outside cities.

Cities are undoubtedly fundamental to developing your strategies for gaining control of humanity, as explained in this link . But there are plenty of things to do outside the cities as well.

To travel between cities, you have to walk. Yes, it’s very sad that, after dying and being given a celestial body called an avatar, you have to walk from one place to another, whether you’re an angel or a demon. Where are those instantaneous appearances anywhere on the planet?

You will actually be able to, but only once you reach a certain level. In the initial levels, you can only travel on land. From level 12 onward, you’ll be able to fly and travel across the entire planet without restrictions.

What situations can occur outside of cities?

  • Movement: Keep in mind that movement, like any other activity of your angel or demon (entity), consumes energy. When your entity can fly, this will require even more energy. If the energy reaches zero, and there is no temple nearby to replenish it, your entity will die (unless it has the ability to restore energy once).
  • Encounters: Of course, you may encounter an enemy entity while traveling between cities. Keep in mind that each entity has a vision range, which increases with its level. And, as they say, the first strike is the second strike. Your first attack deals extra damage to the enemy entity.
  • Objects along the way: during your journeys you can find different objects that can be very useful to you:

Power generator.

The power generator multiplies your firepower for a time the next time you have to fight an enemy entity. You can only carry one unit.

Energy.

As has become clear, energy is fundamental to the entity and its survival. This energy module, which you will find throughout the territory, will allow you to restore some of the entity’s energy. You can also store the energy and use it later if you don’t need it immediately. You can only carry one unit.

Data unit.

In war and love, information is power. Which cities have enemy agents operating? What level are they at? What are they doing? This information, and other details, can be key in your war against heaven or hell. These lost data units won’t contain everything, nor will they be perfectly accurate, but they will give you an idea of aspects that could be very important to your war strategy.

Soulers.

Is there anything better in life than finding a wallet full of cash and not returning it to its owner? Yes, there is something better: returning it to its owner. But in Heaven and Fire, you can find bags of Soulers, the game’s currency, which will be very useful for your finances. Remember that a percentage of each haul goes to your general bank account, and another percentage goes to the entity you control. And another thing: you’ll have the opportunity to double the amount you collect. If it works, you’ll have double. But if it doesn’t, you’ll lose the contents of the bag plus 50% of the amount found. For example, if you find 1,000 Soulers and risk doubling them, you could end up with 2,000 Soulers, or you could lose the 1,000 Soulers and lose 500 Soulers from your wallet. The choice is yours.

Quick mission.

This is undoubtedly a very, very powerful item. If you find this item during your travels and keep it, the first mission you assign your entity to a city will be completed immediately and without delay. Choose your mission carefully, as this only works once.

Human vehicles.

Humans travel in land, sea, and other human vehicles. These are a good way to recruit humans to your cause outside of cities, or to protect their journeys if you work for Heaven. Or, if you deem it necessary, destroy their transports if you work for Hell. Keep in mind that these actions will earn you a significant number of Soulers, but they will also expose you to your enemy. That is, if you destroy vehicles, ships, or planes, you can be easily located for a while, and anyone who attacks you will always have a first strike with double the power. Proceed with caution.

Portals.

Portals are… portals. You can step into them, and three things can happen: you can disappear forever, you can reappear somewhere on Earth with your energy capacity fully restored and a good number of Soulers, or you can be frozen for a time, unable to move at all, and vulnerable to any enemy that happens to be nearby. Again, the choice is yours.

Leveler.

Finally, the leveler. If you encounter one, you’ll most likely gain two levels instantly, with all the advantages that entails, plus your energy will be fully restored. Of course, there’s a chance you’ll drop one level, as long as you’re above level 1, and it will always leave you with 50% energy. If you’re below level 1, great. If you’re above level 1, tough luck.
